Historische Stadt-Muehle in Traben-Trarbach

Are very disappointed Unfortunately we were very disappointed and can't understand the reviews here ... we sat upstairs near an office workstation and surrounded by fruit flies (dead ones on the tablecloth and on the floor, living ones flying around us) and spiders on the room wood ceiling, nice Atmosphere is different. The service was ok. About the meal: for whatever reason, we got different side dishes than were on the menu, in my meal there was a hair in the sauce and in my girlfriend's case a piece of plastic / bowl in the sauce (we couldn't define exactly). You can have a bad day, but unfortunately we have lost our appetite ...

Quaint inn in an old mill. Delicious food and a good selection of local wines. We can understand some of the poorer ratings regarding service - but if you have a little time, patience and a sense of humor, everything is ok.

When there is a lot going on, the waitress can forget a little thing, but does it quickly and in a friendly manner. The real hearty Moselle food is really good here.

Very attentive service. The restaurant was already full when a rain shower "flooded" all the terrace guests into the interior. Nevertheless, the service was always attentive and friendly. And there is a different beer than just Bitburger :-)

The historic town of Muehle is a very quaint restaurant. There is a lot to marvel at. Small but nice menu. The trout are freshly caught on site and off you go to the pan, it couldn't be fresher. The wait staff take great care of your guests.

A very cozy place, good food, good drinks and above all a top-class service, the staff has internalized the word "service", is very, very personable, attentive and pleasantly customer-oriented. It couldn't be better! Kudos to and the service staff who serve the restaurant guests wonderfully! I can only recommend the restaurant!

Ambiente good, waiter initially attentive but as time went by we saw less to him and the colleagues. Food ok. Not quick to take order (15min). Food took looong time to arrive, 1h15min. Desert took 45min to arrive (at this point the place was almost empty). It has to be said, that the place was full,, but still, thats their job to be able to handle this. We understand that sometimes you may be understaffed or something goes wrong, but why not be honest about it, excuse, pour us a glass on the house etc!? Instead when almost all guests were waiting for food, none of the staff by themself commented on this, ignored the issue. A waitress mindlessly came to our table three times when waiting for the main course with no food on the table asking if all was good/ok! We are a couple travelling from Thailand. It was a but late when we got in around 9 pm. Afterall, there's not a single thing we dislike here. The food is matchless, simple but perfect. It's a family run business. The owner is so gentle. She's old but we really love her personality. We are overwhelmed with the service and care we receive. They explain the menu really well and check us constantly. The buffet salad bar is pretty, at least to us. The trout dish is blown away, fresh fish from the river. If you happen to be in town, you seriously need a try here. The atmosphere is dated back decades ago, very classic. One day, we will come back.^v^

Hidden gem! Nice place with honest food and great staff.

Nice, cozy family-run restaurant. Recommended. If you’re looking for appetizers, the soup was uninspired, however the Camembert was nicely done. For our main course, we had a fantastic venison ragout. It was exactly the type of hearty, tasty stew that you want from a place like this. Hit the spot. The ancient, timber construction building makes for a cool atmosphere.
